The Center for international Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) is organizing an Advanced Course on International Relations “Geopolitics in the Emerging Multipolar Era”, taking place in Belgrade, from July 30 – August 6, 2015.
The Course will focus on the main contemporary geopolitical trends animating world politics.
It will thus examine the diplomatic, economic, social and environmental circumstances of the emerging multipolarity, and the renewed interest in geopolitical narratives.
The Course will also assess the changing roles of multilateral institutions (e.g. the United Nations, international financial institutions, and various regional organizations) as well as explore various aspects of global security.
Lectures will be delivered by experienced international policymakers, prominent intellectuals, and shapers of public opinion, in addition to members of the CIRSD Board of Advisors and CIRSD Senior Staff.
The Course is designed for graduate students from the Western Balkans.

Global Preventive Diplomacy Initiative Launched in New York Ahead of UNGA 80
New York, NY — The Global Preventive Diplomacy Initiative (GPDI) was launched at an exclusive event organized by the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) on the top floor of New York’s iconic MetLife Building, bringing together diplomats, philanthropists, business leaders, academics, and thought leaders for a conversation on the future of conflict prevention and international cooperation. The launch came just days before the opening of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, which annually brings together heads of state and government for the High-Level General Debate — making New York the world’s diplomatic capital.
