The Program of International Relations

The Program of International RelationsThe CIRSD Program on International Relations promotes effective ways of advancing multilateral cooperation in the twenty-first century. The Program focuses on examining the strategic dynamics that shape international developments in addition to analyzing the day-to-day challenges faced by policy-makers.

The Program provides insight into increasingly complex global circumstances, helping to deepen understanding about the widening gap between expectations and results as well as their multiplying effects on growing perceptions of unpredictability and overall uncertainty.

The Program enhances awareness of today’s most pressing threats and opportunities and provides informed, future-oriented analysis and policy prescriptions.

Through its activities, the Program on International Relations

  • EXAMINES THE DYNAMICS OF WORLD AFFAIRS AND THE NEW APPROACHES REQUIRED IN A MULTIPOLAR INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM;
  • IDENTIFIES STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES IN HOW MULTILATERAL COOPERATION IS ACHIEVED AND PROPOSES INTERNATIONAL POLICIES TAILORED TO NEW GLOBAL CIRCUMSTANCES;
  • PROMOTES MORE EFFECTIVE REGIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS.
