Earlier today, CIRSD President Vuk Jeremić presented “The 2014 CIRSD Award of Meritorious Achievement” to H.E. Mr. Eldar Hasanov and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The CIRSD Award was given in grateful recognition of the Embassy’s exemplary dedication to the improvement of humanitarian, cultural, economic, and political understanding.
In his congratulatory remarks, Jeremić thanked the Embassy of Azerbaijan for its unparalleled efforts in bringing bilateral relations to a stage where both countries can call each other strategic partners. Jeremić added that Ambassador Hasanov has “ made a great mark and left a strong imprint on the relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia and our part of the world.”
In accepting the CIRSD Award, Ambassador Hasanov expressed his deep appreciation to CIRSD, calling Jeremić a “great friend of Azerbaijan and a world-class diplomat.” He added that in a short period of time, CIRSD has become the region’s leading think-tank, having organized a number of world-class conferences that brought together leading international personalities to Belgrade to discuss pressing global issues.
