Vuk Jeremić Participates in Global Relations Summit in Türkiye
Istanbul, Türkiye – October 14, 2024 – Vuk Jeremić, President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD), participated in the Global Relations Summit (GRS) 2024, organized by the Global Relations Forum (GRF). The summit, themed “Navigating an Uncertain, Common Global Future”, brought together global leaders and experts to discuss pressing geopolitical issues.
During the event, Jeremić emphasized Turkey’s vital role in global geopolitics, noting its significant influence in strategic regions.
“Turkey matters. One can hardly think of a contemporary geopolitical equation in which it isn’t amongst the parameters. Crucial for Europe’s stability, indispensable in everything related to the Mediterranean, Black Sea, and the Middle East, with growing influence in Africa and beyond. You can neglect it only at your peril,” Jeremić said.
Jeremić was joined by prominent figures, including former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou and former Spanish Foreign Minister Ana Palacio. He expressed his pleasure in contributing to discussions alongside colleagues with whom he shares long-standing professional relationships.
The Global Relations Summit 2024 marked the 15th anniversary of GRF, reaffirming its status as one of Türkiye’s leading platforms for discussing international affairs and fostering global cooperation. Established in 2009, GRF brings together thought leaders, policymakers, and academics to debate and contribute to global and regional policy solutions.
