The President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) Vuk Jeremić paid a visit to Kazakhstan this week, where he participated in the Astana Economic Forum, meeting with some of the country’s highest-ranking officials.

Jeremić had meetings with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov, First Deputy Prime Minister Bakitzhan Sagintayev, Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov, Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dossayev, and Minister of Economic Integration Zhanar Aitzhanova. In each of these meetings, a number of pressing international issues were discussed, with an emphasis on sustainable development.
Jeremić updated his counterparts on some of CIRSD's ongoing projects and activities. CIRSD President also participated in sessions of the 8th annual Astana Economic Forum, an international event gathering global leaders, leading economic experts, and a vast number of diplomats. This year’s Astana Forum gathered around 10,000 participants from 150 countries, thus reaffirming its reputation as one of the world’s key platforms for discussing the global economy, latest economic trends, and important infrastructure projects.
CIRSD Receives High-Level Delegation from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
The Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) welcomed a high-level delegation from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) for a strategic meeting aimed at deepening cooperation between the two institutions.
